"Heartburst stomps and shimmies along like Typhoons-era Royal Blood hitting the floor with the Dandy Warhols, at a 70s club night." - Classic Rock Magazine
Heartburst, recorded and produced by multi-platinum producer John Fields (Soul Asylum, Switchfoot, Jonas Brothers) is a powerful uplifting song as an encouragement of self-expression and rising out of difficult times. Perricelli pulls from themes of dark to light, from suppression to being free, from depression to hope with courage and courage to be yourself. It’s a song of breaking free and liberation as the energy of a “bursting heart.” Muddiness becomes clear. The Sun shines through the clouds. Using heart energy and self-love to raise oneself up and express without fear with an energy that is ready to do so. This authentic heart shining is the shining of unique personal purpose in the world which is not only a gift to one’s self but in so doing, a gift to others.

Heartburst
Lyrics by Chris Perricelli
All this body can feel is a heart,
That is breaking down the walls,
So high you can't feel,
Where it ends and begins again.
Hear me talk about what is real,
With a force, with a power of love.
It's a sign so bright you can deal,
With the dark and the night,
That it's all, here, now,
In a time and a space that is raw, real, burnin'
From a core exploding.
Shine so bright from your heart,
You're empowered, no restraint from a place of,
Love from which you will heal,
From the muck, you were stuck,
In the depths so heavy pulling the weight,
Until you release the fear,
And you rise up out of the ash,
From the flames, your tail's still on fire,
And you're all, here, now.
In a time and a space that is raw, real, burnin'
From a core exploding.

I haven't heard the album yet (but I ordered it. :)). I heard Christy and Monica Laplante, a while back on The Current, talking about the album. Then I heard " Uranium Baby", which I love; hearkens back to those great punk sounds from the 80s. It sounds like it was recorded live in the studio, which I'll take any day, over a lot of the bland production that passes today. Speaking of Monica Laplante, I love what I heard of her songs as well. Time I got one of her albums. Tim 😀 Timothy Natysin
