Don't cut me down, I'm calling for some tolerance baby. You don't even know me in the least. A feast of adjectives released. And I wont, I wont cut you down. As soon as I meet you, You will begin to exist. All the things I have heard before, Well I sure can resist. If everything's cool, let's begin this experience. Transmitted feeling Is all I got to trust. I'm taking in the look, the move and the speak, And I think I'm on the brink Of knowing you, but it's just the beginning. Now all I got is a memory with me, And I'll play it again and again. We've said so much and I have heard your point of view, Do you think it's true? I don't know but I wont cut you down.

Hit Me 02:58
Turned On Checked out Like a different soul, has brought me here. Into the car on a bolt laid track, Reverse is the gear I need, But it aint easy to move my arm like that. MVP on my heart, Makes my heart jump. My eyes on a fix and my mind is playing tricks. Desire is what it is. And I feel the blood rush, hungry mouth. That's what it's all about.
3.
Horizon 03:21
It's a wonderful place to be, By the sea on the green. Silence is broken by the necessity of nature. It's nice to have no worries. Nothing here disturbs me. I've grabbed a piece of mind, And I've reached far, far behind. To be within and out of me. Don't go until it moves you. Here's my chance to slip away, On a cloud, straight through the day. This time I can move by being still, what a thrill, While others have moved into different lands but that's ok. Dream, dream what's beyond the horizon. A sun is rising, my mind this time is so sure. Saddle up the sun.

It's production day. In the greatest way. All week long thinking, thinking. And now production day. With time, own it, it's yours, no one else's. Ripe is the day, as with all days. Luscious and ready, It waits for no one. Let out the smiles, Herald the trumpets heard for miles. It's worth can be manifold exclaimed by the human way. Participate!

Memo Book 03:34
Memo book hello, Got some thoughts for you today. Help me plot a way up this winding road. Memo book what's the hook, take you everywhere. You bring me piece of mind oh memo book. Take a good look at what my mind has left behind. Take a good look at what shook me, took me, played me made me, And all the pages signed and dated. With you in the summer day sitting at the lake all alone. I've got words to play with, why should I go home? Let's take a walk, don't mind the clock, let it tick away. Keep you in my back pocket, Small enough to hide away.
6.
Sitting Tree 03:22
The green and spotted yellow I'm most attracted to. I'm so grateful for the breeze, it keeps on kissing me, Over and over... A trance or two I'll follow through, it takes me for a ride. A silent day is surely ok with or without someone. To hear it and see it and feel what I'm feeling. My thoughts caught well within the leaves of the tree above me. Hold until the rain comes and is sifted down, this ground is surely mine. Alone now I am, here comes a visitor, Bright eyed wealthy with smiles a stranger willingly, Waken me and capture the thought of the moment. So now instead of the ground I tend to look around, Slow the place down, it's rid me of my frown. Now I've placed myself in a groove where I should be.
7.
Everywhere I turn I learn there's a great concern, For where I am meant to be. Everything I hear is near, My mind's becoming clear, And my feelings they overwhelm me. And it keeps on growing. And it keeps on giving. The rhythm of my ride, it overflows, What's inside me melting down to the ground, And all around until it evaporates into ancient images. No matter where you move me, place before or brush besides me, Hillsides like pale horse hair. Future present and past is what I see. It's what I'm living, it's where I've been, And I'm a sponge, And I'm ringing out, out for you.

Seal-Ring 03:56
My love is not narrow. Nor is it all shallow. Well it's hard for me to hide, like the open sky, Long after my eyes have seen you. Your shine it spawned flowers on the inside. They do not hide but grow openly from side to side. Why should I try to hide it? It's all a part of me. Well I admire you in many ways. All the things you used to say. A par of you is in a part of me. I think we've made such a contribution, Easy times no need for pushing. Just. Heed. Guess it's a better way. Place the ring of a daughter of a midnight world. My heart reserves the only recollection of a perfect girl. Electric holiness no ground to let it pass. Turn old and blind when limbs touch the grass. If you wish to leave you'll have to be carried, Upon return we shall be married.

How is your life? I bet it's not ass bad as your thinking. Things can be alot more complicated, Why even bother to get invovled? Bombarded with responsibility. Thinking it was better five years back before. Got to be a better opportunity. More and more. Down the hotel hall, Door by door you're passing, You're going to have to take the stairs, 'Cause nobody cares as much as you do. How is your life? I bet you passed alot of choices by. Why not try the highway or the byway, To make it what you want.

Strife 03:22
I want to be an artist, She wants to be a wife. That is the dilemma in our life. Maybe we could compromise? Maybe we should head our own way? Quite frankly it's strife. I want to see the world, She want's a baby girl. I want to take my time, Her clock is ticking on. I want to just make ends meet, She wants security.
11.
You got your hair tied up, Won't you let it down for me? Lay down your rubbled thoughts, And I can pave you a street. Keep in ind your own biography, Keep in mind the way you want to be, remembered by your friends, Remembered by your family. People will recall you in their thoughts. Fell a pound of goodness if they might, Want to be just like you. You got your head tied up. Won't you let it down for me? Let's weigh the two sides, There's got to be a way down the middle, Ah yes it's narrow. You got your shades on all day. Why don't you let them down for me? If there's a heaviness blocking your bliss, Let it down.

about

Recorded and mixed in Chicago at King Size Sound Labs in 2000 by Ed Tinley. Produced by Chris Perricelli and Ed Tinley. Mastered by Mike Hagler. All songs by CP.

Little Man's first full length album and the very first album of many recorded with engineer and producer Ed Tinley.
Rock. Spiritual rock. Retro rock. Classic rock. Psychedelic rock. Guitar rock.

“I'm guessing that the members of Chicago's Little Man grew up on equal parts Bob Dylan, The Who, The Beatles, and perhaps a little Van Morrison for good measure. Combine all that with a more modern, poppy style, and you get a sense of Little Man's first full-length album (Core Of Discovery)…These musicians are very talented, and their ability to take their favorite music from the 70s and bring it into a more modern rock sound with often poppy beats is pretty impressive…These guys are probably doing it better than most. I'm excited by this release” - Delusions of Adequacy
